Communication (Edmentum)
Description
This course explores workplace safety. You will learn to understand the rights and responsibilities of both employers and workers for workplace safety. You will be able to identify and categorize common workplace hazards, recognize WHMIS pictograms and take steps to prevent accidents and be safe at work. You learn how to write a hazard report. You will learn about laws from the Employment
Standards Act and Human Rights Code and how they protect you. You will learn how to read a pay stub and to know which deductions are legal or illegal to be deducted from your wages.
